Sample File Types
- .OUT File – provides the mileage for each origin/destination pair as well as the routes with railroad and junction sequence for Auto Routes
- .LOG File – captures route preferences and other settings along with time stamps
- .CAR File – summarizes mileage by railroad carrier
- .DET File – summarizes mileage by both car ID and railroad
- .CID File – summarizes mileage by car mark and number
- .STM File – summarizes empty, loaded and total mileage by state/province/estado
- .RRS File – summarizes empty, loaded and total mileage by railroad and state/province/estado
- .IDS File – summarizes empty, loaded and total mileage by car ID and state/province/estado
Simply stated, the module works as follows: an input file of origin/destination pairs is created, PC*MILER|Rail-BatchPro’s routing preferences are customized according to your routing preferences, then PC*MILER|Rail-BatchPro produces an output file based on those preferences. There are eight types of output files that can be created from an input file.
